Preparations

Oh my god. There is just so much to do!

Got my first shots this week (eat it: tuberculosis, hepatitis, diphteria, tetanus, polio and typhus). Those booklets might look colorful, but each contains a dark message about the diseases.

Also: dividing up my earthly possessions in fours: throw away, give away, keep, take with.

Oh, and planning a goodbye-party where people can celebrate or mourn my impending departure.

A blog is born.

I accepted a job in Indonesia today. I will start somewhere in April this year.

As good a reason as any to start a blog, I'd say.

I'll use this blog to share my experiences before, during and after.

In the meantime, I can't stop thinking about the tagline in Brett Easton Ellis' debut novel, Less Than Zero: "Disappear Here".
